Trauma Conscious Yoga
We live in world that can feel very stressful and overwhelming emotionally and psychologically, leaving us feeling traumatized. A trauma survivor can be an adult survivor of childhood abuse, a relationship abuse survivor, a survivor of sexual assault, someone who was in a horrible accident, or war veteran dealing with PTSD. That is why “trauma conscious” yoga class is taught differently from any other regular yoga class. A regular yoga class may not be comfortable or fully relaxing to a trauma survivor and in fact, may feel frustrating and scary. Therefore, this class is designed to settle your nerves and help you better regulate your nervous system through the practice of interoception and sensation awareness. This class is facilitated in an invitational style and is intended to support your sense of empowerment, freedom, and self-awareness.
If past or chronic present verbal/emotional/energetic/physical trauma ail you, then this class is right for you.
Additionally, many of us live at the intersections of multiple identities that are attacked/oppressed as people of color/Muslims/LGBTQIA/etc.. Experiencing and witnessing such forms of injustices accumulate in our nervous systems and has a way of overwhelming us and disrupting our ability to cope, respond, and function vibrantly.
At our trauma conscious yoga sessions, you don’t have to worry about being judged or forced to do something or be something that is not aligned with your sense of dignity and justice. Register for this class today if you would like to begin your healing journey with yoga.

You will also learn relaxation techniques and beginning breath awareness called pranayama. Increase self-awareness so that you may establish a sustainable practice.

Chakra-Balancing Yoga
Awaken the energy-body and activate the chakra system while flowing through a carefully sequenced asana practice. Move through yoga forms, breath-work, and sometimes sounds that purify and reset each individual chakra located along the spine from the root (muladhara) chakra to the crown (Sahasrara) chakra. Transitions seamlessly from one to the next postures while learning about each chakra's individual qualities. Students are introduced to the higher 8th, 9th, and 10th chakras that reside above the physical body after they have completed their first 12 classes. The work in these higher chakras involve a deeper practice of breath-awareness, self-awareness, and meditation. This class is for all levels.
Tantra Energy yoga
Tantra Energy Yoga is about restoring and creating greater intimacy and connection -with your self, your own body’s sensations, heart, and spirit, or with a partner and in relationships. It is ultimately about restoring a sense of juiciness and aliveness in all our relationships.
If you feel like you're in a disconnected cycle or simply seeking to integrate greater sense of intimacy and juiciness in your daily life, this coaching may be helpful and transformative for you.
Whether you practice with yourself or with a partner, as your facilitator, I guide you to:
discover & connect with your sacredness energies, your elixir of life, your true essence
understand how to practice consent and healthy boundaries which enable safety, and therefore, true intimacy & connectedness
support you to dissolve and transform barriers/challenges that get in the way of creating healthy emotional, physical, & spiritual intimacy with yourself and others
Why?
Because perhaps you have too much shame and guilt associated with your own needs/desires, blocking you from truly living in and caring for your body
Because maybe you disowned pieces of your sensual self to survive
Because perhaps you have a tendency to self-sabotage your body and/or relationships
Because perhaps you learned to protect your heart by building up walls to prevent getting hurt again, diminishing your chances of intimacy with people in your life
Because you learned coping strategies that are not the healthiest for your long-term wholeness and are now creating issues in your adult relationships/life
Because you simply learned to shut off or go numb as a way to cope and move forward in life and now you are too bored/empty
Since early childhood, certain life experiences may have been unbearably confusing/shocking/overwhelming and maybe left your nervous systems feeling dysregulated/traumatized. As a result, you may have begun to survive with a sense of numbness/disconnectedness or other coping mechanisms that no longer serve your today.
It's only by reintegrating your lost self/s and with your essence that you'll be able to truly heal and move past the trauma. You may already know this deep down.
