Join Sheena and Sonali for a curated Winter Soulstice evening of reflection, release, and realignment through collective ritual in Decatur on Friday, December 20th.

This Winter Soulstice, let us embrace the gifts of the Dark night of the Soul.
Let us collectively heal and release the dark times of our lives with honor and dignity.
Let us realign, welcome, and usher in our greatest dreams and visions for 2020.

Join us! for a curated collective transformation ritual that moves us through the darkness towards the light and liberation for all.

This will be a (POC) people of color and TLGBIQAGN centered space.

FOOD: All participants are encouraged to bring healthy, plant-strong dishes. No chemical, processed, and dairy-ridden dishes please. Please include an ingredient lable for your dish.

Program will began sharply at 5:30pm. Please plan on arriving around 5pm to get settled in and take your seat.

$10-35 suggested donation.

Sheena:
Dr. Sheena Sood (she/her) is a Philly-based, second-generation Desi American, healing justice visionary, yoga teacher, and activist scholar. As a certified advanced yoga teacher, Sheena credits her arrival into a yoga practice to her grandmother, Biji, and her certification as a teacher to Yogi Sivadas, founder of the Kailash Tribal School in McLeodganj, Dharamshala, India. Sheena is committed to collective liberation, abolitionist politics, and radical care. She strives to curate yoga, chakra, and ayurvedic workshops through a decolonial, healing justice framework, often encouraging students to imagine how our practice can energize us toward embodied liberatory praxis and values. Sheena earned her PhD in Sociology at Temple University. As a scholar, her research explores the political mobilization and alliance-building efforts of immigrant and Black and Brown communities in the U.S.; as well as the morality and weaponization of yoga globally, through its widespread popularity and practice in India, the U.S., and Israel (occupied Palestine)

Sonali:
Sonali (she/they) is a southern Muslim queer yogi who believes in the transformative power relationships for influencing social change and facilitate collective healing and liberation. Conscious communication, yogic lifestyle, collective-care, and self-care practices are her medicine of choice. She is a trained Imago Communication Facilitator certified directly by Imago Relationships International. She is also the founder of Sustainable Wellness, a wholistic coaching practice that supports community leaders and young adults create a sober, yet juicy lifestyle. Her clients learn to embody a wide range of resilient skills including the Imago Intentional Dialogue, Safe Conversations dialogue, psycho-somatic, and spiritual practices to create an aligned, joyful life and world.
